Imagine you and your child(ren) are part of the most amazing extended family. A "chosen family" in which the sisters, aunts, nieces, brothers, uncles, nephews, cousins and grandparents all live nearby and get together regularly. This is a family that looks forward to gathering because you know that the talented musicians among you will play and sing their soulful songs and the conversations will often turn to what matters most in life. There will be people to soothe you in times of trouble and to celebrate life's precious moments with you. And on special occasions there will be lots of really great food! As a child growing up in this family there's just about every kind of role model you'd hope for. There are thinkers and dreamers, scientists and sages, activists, adventurers and achievers, planners and progressives, naturalists and nurturers, leaders and listeners. Like many families it’s imperfect, but often beautifully so … and continually striving for growth. When you and your children become involved here, you ARE part of the most amazing extended family imaginable. So come on in! We’re so glad you’re here!
Channing Church AffirmationLove is the doctrine of this church
The quest for truth is its sacrament
And service is its prayer.
To dwell together in peace;
To seek knowledge in Freedom;
To serve humanity in fellowship;
To the end that all souls shall grow
Into harmony with the divine.
Thus do we covenant with each other
And with God.
